Good location for zon 4. No common areas besides a small kitchen table, the dorm is quite small so you only have your bed, no lockers, the cleanliness is okay.
It's a bit hard to find the place, from the road you go up some small stairs, then the second to last building/door on the left. The 4 Grados sign is behind the wall/fence so hard to se, no sign outside that its a hostel there.
If you are looking for a cheap, quick place to rest your head while being in an up and coming area of Guatemala city, then this place functions as is. You are getting exactly what you pay for- the shared dorm has 5 mediocre beds and is a bit crowded. Make sure you have a lock on your bags!!! Luckily my bags were locked, but someone stole a keychain right off my backpack! Not sure about normally, but I was the only female staying there the night I was there, which might make some uncomfortable.
It's a pretty bare bones kind of place, but fine if you just need a bed to crash in for the night. There's one kitchen table and a table outside which are the only place to sit/hang out besides the dorm room. The staff were pleasant and breakfast is included (eggs, papaya, and bread roll). If you're on a budget, it's a solid choice.
Bring earplugs and youu2019ll be fine!
Itu2019s really tricky because youu2019re basically staying at a familyu2019s house. Which is lovely because it feels very homey. But they are living right downstairs and will watch TV or make phone calls in the evening, so it was impossible for me to sleep.
The dorm and bathroom were basic, but very clean. I didnu2019t use the kitchen.
The hostel was cheap and the staff was very nice. The bed was clean. This hostel is basically a Guatemalan family's house that they have decided to rent out a few rooms in. There is zero social environment and no real common space other than a very small boxed in courtyard. If you are looking for a cheap place to spend a night this fits the bill but don't expect anything more than that.
